ITALIAN PRODUCTS TO BE SAMPLED AT THE WINE EXCHANGE

The excellence of Italian wine arrives in the Czech Republic and Poland. This will take place at the 30th edition of the Wine Exchange, where in a yet to be determined but prestigious location an event will take place that promises to offer unparalleled quality. The best Italian wine producers will be presenting their leading products on two separate occasions within a short space of time in these two countries. Poland and the Czech Republic recently joined the European Union and their wine consumption has increased to an average of 20 liters per capita, which is something (considered as being synonymous with greater well-being.) The events will be held at the Sheraton Warsaw Hotel on 29 May, and at the Hotel Krone in Prague on 31 May.
The group, coordinated by ICE-Italian Trade Promotion Agency (the Government agency for the promotion abroad and the internationalization of Italian firms), will include producers from all over our Peninsula: 14 Regions with a large and diverse range of firms: there will be 22 firms in Poland, and no fewer than 28 in the Czech Republic. But they all have one thing in common: high quality products that are unique in their markets.
There will be a two-fold approach to commercial relationships: on the one hand it is necessary to establish new synergies and on the other the pre-existing relationships must not be ignored. Italian wine has an advantage in this particular case: Italy is in fact the largest exporter in the wine sector in the Czech Republic, accounting for 30% of imports, and the third exporter in Poland. In terms of value, the period from January to September 2011 saw an increase of 24% in the Czech Republic and more than 16% in Poland compared to the same period in 2010.
But what will visitors and the professionals attending the event be able to taste? A nice glass of still white wine: wines from Friuli Venezia Giulia, such as perfumed Traminer, or the typical Friulian, and timeless wine tradition classics like Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon. There will also be excellent red wines, including classical Tuscan wines, Valpolicella, and traditional Apulian red. There will even be sparkling rosés for connoisseurs.
In short, the best will be on show and ready to make itself known, appreciated, and of course purchased. Companies will be on hand to present the products and strengthen contacts with local operators. The trend observed recently in these two countries shows that wine is clearly and resolutely asserting itself, with evident benefits when it comes to health, with respect to other products such as beer and vodka. This is therefore the right time to increase shares in new markets, increasing awareness among those those who have recently discovered the pleasure of a nice glass of wine: an opportunity that the Italian producers will certainly not miss out on, certain of being able to provide quality and a unique taste.
