THE CLASS AND STYLE OF MADE IN ITALY FASHION FABRICS FOR AUTUMN-WINTER ON SHOW IN NEW YORK
Worlds of Made in Italy style to surprise and win over visitors and industry specialists in the Big Apple. It is due to be held for the Premier Vision Preview New York fair, on the 13 and 14 July at the Altman Building & Metropolitan Pavilion. The Italian companies at the fair, coordinated by ICE, will be the largest national exhibition and are ready to dictate the fashion trends for autumn/winter 2011-2012.
The Made in Italy of fashion fabrics will be grouped together into four sections (called for the occasion, Style Worlds) dedicated to different fabrics. There will be Seduction, Distinction, Relax and Pulsation. Accessories will be added to group accessory production companies for the clothing industry (like buttons, labels and ribbons).
However, what will we actually be able to see when visiting the Made in Italy company stands? Those taking part in the fair will have a taste of what will be worn when the colder days set in. For example the very soft angora, wool or precious cashmere, bright, fun colours to cheer up grey days. Key players, especially in the section dedicated to Seduction, will be fabrics that highlight the silhouette, like viscose and lurex. From warmth and sensuality we will move on to a play of tones on tones, softened nuances that resemble those of fallen leaves, the sky and even the snow, which cannot go without the essential combination with the right accessory. Whether it be a button, a label or a pretty ribbon, the important thing is that it is IN tune with the clothing or that, on the contrary, creates a contrast that highlights both.
Praise for the different personalities and different styles, especially female ones: the Premiere Vision Preview fair will be all this, a place to browse around, discover new combinations and fall in love with a fabric to the point that you will want to wear it immediately. In this foretaste of the cold season, which will only be a preview of the Premiere Vision to be held in Paris, keep your eye on China: after the standstill registered in 2009, the fabrics exported to the Chinese market have grown by +24.9%.
In a market like the North-American one, which after a "crash" in the first 10 months of 2009(-46.1%) now highlights a reverse trend (+13.1%), which brings up fabric sales to more than 110 million Euro, the most important thing will be to create new trade relations. The premises for this to happen all seem to be there because the Italian industry is, as is customary, one of the most anticipated and will undoubtedly be under the spotlight: the Made in Italy of fashion fabrics, famous around the world for its creative, versatile characteristics, quality and production tradition, is ready to challenge its competitors on a world-wide level with a certainty of winning.
