HIGHER QUALITY AND MORE EXPORT MARKETS FOR THE GNALI BOCIA RANGE OF PRODUCTS

According to Luigi Gnali, President of Gnali Bocia, there are certain key factors underpinning his company’s success: the quality of their products, the huge range of options they offer to satisfy any requirement, plus the crucial fact that with the help of their dedicated personnel they are constantly able to update their production in line with innovations within the sector. Over the last 25 years, his company has been producing technical parts for the gas and water industries, while also operating within certain niche markets in the field of bio-medics. The firm is based in Lumezzane, in the Lombardy province of Brescia, but it has business links in virtually every part of the world, and two thirds of its turnover is derived from foreign sales. We asked Mr. Gnali about future plans for the company.

President Gnali, what are your most important export markets?

Within Europe, mainly countries like Germany and Great Britain, but also, moving further east, we have Russia and Romania. Then there are the Middle Eastern states, which are very interesting markets with a lot of opportunities.

Which markets do you have in mind for the future?

We are particularly interested in South America, which seems to offer a lot of potential. However, to do good business there, we would need to establish a base, a place to which we could outsource some of our production. It could be used for manufacturing the less technical products, while the more sophisticated articles would still be produced at our main centre in Italy. This would also be a help with distribution.

What are your main selling points?

One of our strongest points is our ability to constantly update our production. Then there is our absolute guarantee of quality, which has always been a hallmark of our products.

What plans are there for Gnali Bocia?

Our main objective in the future is to ensure that we maintain a consistently high standard, but then we also have some particular projects that we would like to advance. One of these concerns flow regulation in the medical sector, particularly in hydro-colon therapy. Thanks to a certain specific type of regulator valve which we produce, we should be able to ensure that many patients are able to enjoy privacy, to the extent of being able to undergo treatment in their own homes.

Are you up against any competitors?

Inside Italy, there is only one group other than ours producing the same range of products. Within the other European states, on the other hand, there are no particular competitors we need to worry about.

What about the rest of the world?

In the rest of the world, we are extremely concerned about Chinese products. They are often made with very low quality materials using counterfeit trademarks, and are sold at way below the market price, which confuses customers.

Expertise, high quality, courtesy and reliability are our future objectives, and the fundamental values of our business. It has been the same for the last 25 years. Our experience in producing technical items for the gas and water sectors has resulted in a trend towards significant growth, well above the local or national average. Every day, the Gnali family and the employees in our group are dedicating their efforts to improving the quality and safety aspects of our products, to ensure the continuing satisfaction of our clients.
