ICE (Italian Institute for Foreign Trade), Confindustria (Confederation of Italian Industry), ABI (Italian Banking Association), UMCE (Union of Mediterranean Confederations of Enterprises), IPI (Institute for Industrial Promotion), with the support of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Italian Ministry of Productive Activities, Regione Siciliana and Assemblea Regionale Siciliana (Sicily Region), in co-operation with ANIMA (Euromediterranean Network of Investment Promotion Agencies) sponsored by the European Union, have pooled together to promote an event aiming at enhancing economic relations among Italy and 12 Countries of the Southern side of the Mediterranean basin: Algeria, Cyprus, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Malta, Morocco, Palestinian Authority, Syria, Tunisia and Turkey.
A web site created for the event - www.medproject.org - provides detailed information and related updates for participation, with a view to further develop investments in the Mediterranean basin to the benefit of all parties involved.
