To consolidate a leading role in the global chemical-pharmaceutical sector and conquer ever larger slices of the market, with particular attention to images of companies already present in international markets and considered amongst the best for technology, production processes and reliability.

These will be the objectives of the Italian participation to the 28^th edition of the Informex Trade Show, which will take place in Charlotte (North Carolina, USA), from the 7^th to the 10^th of February. The strategies will be as clear as the objective: first and foremost that of dedicating particular attention to custom manufacturing, that is, production according to specific requests by the customer base.

The twelve companies and the two trade unions which this year will make up the collective coordinated by I.C.E (The Italian Institute for Foreign Trade) will take the opportunity to show to visitors and experts of the sector the high quality of the pharmaceutical products made in Italy for which the present companies are already world-renown. The high standards have permitted the conquest of the demanding US market, exporting there 85% of the whole production.

The prominent role of Italy in the chemical-pharmaceutical sector in fact lies on various factors: from the know-how of the production processes, the result of a 10 year experience, to the high quality of the products realized, which are also the result of an “ethical culture” which has the employees involved not just in the production process but also in the quality controls. Finally, one should not underestimate the flexibility of the same production processes which allow the fulfilment of the ever new requests of the market from time to time.

Visiting the stands of the Italian companies, one can therefore discover which accurate scientific researches lie behind the most recent painkillers or antibiotics, produced and sold by the participating companies, and the same interest will certainly be stirred by the techniques employed for the realisation of such innovative and avant-garde drugs.

There are still large parts of the market to be conquered yet and the Italian companies doubtlessly want to exploit the excellent showcase offered by the Informex Trade Show which is one of the most important of the sector.

The chemical-pharmaceutical sector has undergone some important changes: first of all the approval of the health care system reform proposal wanted by President Obama, the true repercussions of which have yet to be seen but which should not have a negative impact, and also the growing wish of the companies to invest on research and to outsource production. The Italian companies participating in the Informex Trade Show must keep this circumstance in mind in order to provide, in addition to high quality products, also answers to the needs of the American buyers, especially in the Research and Development sector which is one of the most prominent.
