During the gala 2008 Award Ceremony of the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Science of Ryerson University held at the Oakham House, in Toronto, on November 5^th 2008, the four winners of the Machines Italia Awards for Mechatronic and Manufacturing were announced and presented with commemorative plaques and monetary recognitions for a total of $4.000.

The award program is the result of the collaboration between Machines Italia and the aforesaid Departement of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering of the Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Science at Ryerson University, Toronto.

The awards recipients were chosen amongst the mechanical and industrial undergraduates and graduating students based on their superior performance and academic exellence in selected Manufacturing and Mechatronics courses.

This year recipients of the Machines Italia Awards for Manufacturing were Mr. Hirmand Nouraei and Mr. Sayeed Ally whereas the Machines Italia Awards for Mechatronics were bestowed to Mr. Hamed Darban Hossein and Mr. Oumar Barry.
