SEA TEST DAY
From May 6th to 11th, the Italian Trade Commission - Toronto participated in the Sea Test Day, organized by ICE and UCINA, accompanying the delegation of 19 journalists from around the world to visit Italian shipyards in Lago di Iseo e Lago di Garda. During the trip prominent shipyards were visted including: Cantieri Sessa, Uniesse Marine, Cantieri di Sarnico, and the famed Cantieri Riva. On May 9th the journalists participated in a workshop, led by UCINA’s Segretary General Mr. Pellicori, followed by open water testing of boats and yachts from: Cantiere navale Cramar, Cantieri Capelli, Cantieri di Sarnico, FB Design s.r.l., Nuova Jolly, Performance Marine, Rancraft, Rio Yacts, Sessa Marine and Uniesse Marine.
The event, aimed to increase the awareness and profile of the Italian boating industry in international media, and to promote the Italian Boating Industry around the globe, was a great success for both organizers, and shipbuilders as well as attending members of the pressed, impressed by the technology and innovation matched with handmade shipbuilding
