MOBILITY, SUSTAINABILITY AND CLEAN ENERGY
Hannover Messe will be an exceptional showcase to substantially increase visibility and sales volume. In other words, an important step in the direction of that ‚Äėquality leap‚Äô which has been awaited for too long in trade relations between Germany and Italy. It will be all this and much more. It is one of the most prestigious trade fairs in the industry globally. Italy will have a starring role at the fair, which will take place from 19 to 23 April in Hannover, as official partner of the German organisers. There will be 293 companies present, 100 of which make will make up the Italian collective coordinated by the Italian Trade Commission to take full advantage of this privileged position.
The watchword for the 2010 fair will be sustainable mobility, and this is where all of the efforts for this important fair, made up of nine different specialised fairs, will be focussed, particularly in the presentation of innovative low-environmental-impact transport systems. Visitors and experts can see all the new developments made in the area of transport, from aeroplanes to trains and from ships to vehicles, under the various profiles of efficiency, energy performance, noise reduction and the use of sustainable fuels. The fair is also a way of relaunching the automobile industry, which experienced the effects of the financial crisis at a global level more than any other industry and is making investments in environment protection for the upturn. The Italian companies presenting their models and prototypes will be encouraged by their strong second place in this area (after France) in German imports, with a turnover of around 5.6 billion euros.
The quality of Italian-made products, can also be seen in important areas other that of clean energy and mobility, such as subcontracting, industrial automation and research and development. But what are the innovations which should not be missed at Hannover Messe? New generation wind turbines, industrial batteries for zero environmental-impact cars, special high-precision machines, intelligent management systems for energy flows, renewable energy production, metal stampings and environmental services.
The previous fair saw 6,500 exhibitors (50 percent of these were international, very high level companies) and a total of 250 thousand visitors. The hope this year is to top this record number, especially through the hard work of the Italian companies, who as official partners have been given the responsibility of managing all side events. These will be events such as artistic exhibitions and cultural and musical events, promoting the image of a country rich in skills and talent.
