In its continuing efforts to promote Italian tiles in the US, the
Italian Trade Commission, together with Confindustria Ceramica - the industry association - participates at the
AIA 2009 National Convention and Design Exposition. The event is organized by the American Institute of Architects (AIA). AIA is an organization representing the professional interests of more than 80,000 licensed architects, emerging professionals and allied partners in the USA. The AIA annual Convention is the premier event for architects and building industry professionals.
The 2009 Convention takes place in San Francisco, offering its attendees over 500 programs - workshops, seminars, tours and expo educations. Over 800 leading companies are exhibiting their product and services at the show.

Ceramic Tiles of Italy exhibit (booth #4879) designed by Italian architects
Dante Donegani & Giovanni Lauda and launched for the first time at AIA 2008 convention in Boston, will feature the latest trendsetting tiles and technical achievements from Italy. The design of the booth with its inventive concept of an open space, will allow guests to easily navigate the area and experience the carefully chosen selection of products. Company catalogs and educational materials will be available for guests to take along with them for reference.

Paul Shahriari, Green Mind, Inc., will address the AIA audience on the topic of ceramic ventilated facades and their sustainable characteristics. The AIA accredited seminar "
Ceramic Ventilated Facades On the Rise: Design/Cost Impact of Innovative and Energy-Efficient Exterior Porcelain Facades" is scheduled from 7 to 8AM on April 30.
