BCS Biotech S.p.A. is a biotech company based in Cagliari - Italy that is actively involved in the development and production of in-vitro diagnostic devices (IVDs). The company owns a manufacturing plant in the city of Cagliari, Italy, that covers an area of 4000 suare metres. This area includes 1300 sqm of laboratory space and 800 sqm for the storage of raw materials and finished products.
Additionally, a cell culture laboratory equipped with a P3 Clean Room (level 1000) covers extra 200 sqm for the production and development of products that require maximum protection against contaminants and a gene cloning laboratory of 150 sqm is used for the development of positive controls for quality control of molecular biology technologies and products.

HIGH QUALITY PRODUCTS: From the very beginning, the activities of BCS Biotech have focused on the design and production of PCR kits for the medical, veterinary and food processing markets. The years of start-up and research have led to the development of innovative products and efficient quality-oriented manufacturing facilities. Recently, BCS has introduced an exclusive diagnostic system on microchips. This rapid, low-cost diagnostic system allows for simultaneous detection of multiple pathogens on a single chip. Moreover, BCS has created a unique system for the assessment, control and certification of quality standards of clinical laboratories and their products (BCS External Quality Control Program) and a Biocell Service for the cryopreservation of cell lines or buffy coats, maintenance of stocks and expansion of cell lines for molecular analysis.
