OUTSTANDING CHEMICAL AND PHARMACEUTICAL QUALITY ON SHOW IN SAN FRANCISCO

Consolidation of a prominent role in the worldwide chemical and pharmaceutical sector and the cornering of ever new portions of the market: these are the clear objectives of the Italian companies participating in the 27th edition of the Informex Trade Show in San Francisco. Equally clear are the strategies that will be adopted to attain them, beginning with the attention paid to custom manufacturing, i.e. production according to specific customer requests.
From February 16th to 19th, eleven companies and trade associations, coordinated by the Italian Trade Commission, will be taking this particular opportunity to present visitors and sector operators with the high quality of Italian-made pharmaceutical products. This has already gained them international recognition and enabled them to corner the demanding American market, to the extent that they now export 85% of their entire production there.
Italy's prominent role in the chemical and pharmaceutical sector is based on various factors, from process and production know-how resulting from decades of experience to high product quality, thanks to an “ethical culture” that involves employees not just in production but also in quality control. Last, but certainly not least, is the flexibility of the production processes, which allows continually new market requests to be met whenever the need arises.
A visit to the Italian stands will provide an insight, for example, into the careful and painstaking scientific research required for production of the painkillers or the latest generation antibiotics marketed by the participating companies, and the techniques used to produce these drugs are certainly every bit as interesting.
There are still, in fact, entire portions of the market still to be cornered and the Italian companies aim to reach this goal, which will no doubt be aided by their participation in the Informex Trade Show, which is one of the most important in the sector. The figures from the previous edition show a presence of around 500 exhibitors, from more than 40 different countries, with the addition of 5,000 visitors. San Francisco is therefore one of the most important showcases, and one of its strong-points on which the Italian collective will certainly rely will be the selection of high-quality raw materials for which it is particularly known, especially in the American market. To this should be added an essential ingredient, namely the highly qualified personnel that is the result of another important feature of the Italian companies: continuous updating in the area of human resources and development, which allows research standards to be always kept very high. In fact, the quality of Italian-made products is based on scientific research that is always cutting edge, and it is precisely this importance given to research that has kept the chemical and pharmaceutical sector from suffering the effects of the global economic crisis in recent months.
