POWER TRANSMISSION AND FLUID POWER MADE IN ITALY ON SHOW AT PTC ASIA
In China, where the economic growth rate is still high, the Italian companies taking part in the Ptc Asia trade fair are ready to showcase the best of Italian production in the field of hydraulics and pneumatics, power transmission equipment and gearboxes. With the event being held from 29th October to 1st November in the dynamic city of Shanghai, there is not long to go but everything is almost ready for the numerous members of the collective, which will be coordinated by the ICE Italian Trade Promotion Agency. The range of products on offer will be wide, varied and of indisputable quality because the business ventures chosen to participate were carefully selected from the very best.
The trade fair, now in its eleventh year, the most important for the sector in China and is one of the biggest in the whole of East Asia. In 2011 it was visited by 43,000 people from 80 different countries and 1250 exhibitors. There will be plenty of the best that made in Italy has to offer in this industry, especially in terms of components for market leaders such as automotive and constructions: thermoplastic pipes and coils, oil and oil-free vane vacuum pumps and other brass fittings and components designed for the pneumatic industry, as well as O-rings and rubber technical details.
In addition to the opportunity to get to know the products exhibited at the fair, visitors to the 500 square metres dedicated to Italian companies, coordinated by the ICE Italian Trade Promotion Agency, will be able to establish direct contact with the companies thanks to the Chinese interpreting service on offer. They will also receive a complete pack with information on the companies and products on display. The Italian system will play a veritable ‚Äúteam game‚ÄĚ in order to make the local buyers‚Äô visit more interesting and more fruitful.
The hydraulic and pneumatic sectors are among those that have managed to withstand the crisis best in Italy. According to the data from the trade association Assofluid, in fact, the Italian domestic market and production in hydraulics are growing in terms of orders and turnover. The same is true for pneumatics, but to a less decisive extent. The breakdown of the data is very important above all when it comes to foreign relations: exports in the hydraulic sector registered a general increase in 2011 in terms of turnover (+25.5%) and orders (+22.2%) in comparison with 2010. The same also applies to the pneumatics sector, which slumped in 2009 but then showed the first faint signs of recovery in 2010, recorded increases in exports for both turnover (+12.3%) and orders (+7.3%). The data specifically concerning relationships with China are also positive: in 2011 imports in the components sector in the land of the dragon increased by 13.7% to 4.4 billion dollars, an Italy performed excellently (+35%).
If it is true that the demand in the Chinese high-end mechanical industry tends to be met by foreign suppliers that are considered to be qualitatively more reliable, then a fair such as Ptc Asia is truly an opportunity to get to know and appreciate the high quality of made in Italy products that must not be missed.
