Main Activity

INNOVATIVE PROCESSES/SERVICES/PRODUCTS: The Company leading project is the prevention and treatment of HIV, with a new proprietary class of compounds binding to both CCR5 and CXCR4 co-receptors, currently in lead optimization phase. Other new proprietary chemical classes are targeting prevention and treatment of tuberculosis, including strains resistant to commonly used antimycbacterial drugs (MDR) and prevention and treatment of malaria
NETWORKING: extensive networking with local and international Universities and within the local and international business community. A public-private partnership (NAICons - New Anti-Infectives Consortium) dedicated to the discovery and development of new anti-infective agents has been established by NeED Pharma, with CISI (centre of excellence of the University of Milano, Italy), R. Dulbecco Foundation, and in collaboration with the Italian National Research Council.
R&D CAPACITY: medical microbiology equipped for P2 containment, chemistry lab and animal house for in vivo testing of anti-infective agents in experimental models of infection.
