Ceramic Tiles of Italy at the AIA 2008 National Convention and Design Exposition – Boston 15-17 May 2008
In its continuing efforts to promote Italian tiles in the US, the Italian Trade Commission, together with Confindustria Ceramica – the industry association – participates at the AIA 2008 National Convention and Design Exposition, an event organized by The American Institute of Architects (AIA) an organization representing the professional interests of more than 80,000 licensed architects, emerging professionals and allied partners in the USA. The AIA annual Convention is the premier event for architects and building industry professionals. For the first time in 16 years, the 2008 Convention takes place in Boston, offering its attendees over 100 seminars, a number of site events and over 800 leading companies exhibiting their product and services.
This year the Ceramic Tiles of Italy stand has been designed by Italian archietcts Dante Donegani & Giovanni Lauda. Visitors to the booth will be able to view new trends and designs, formats and technical achievements in Italian tile industry and pick up a wide range of informative and promotion literature on Italian tiles.
On May 17 at 7:00AM, the final morning of the AIA Convention & Expo, award-winning contemporary architect Richard Fleishman will present a seminar entitled A Fresh Approach to Educational Planning & Design: Design/Cost Impact of Innovative Exterior/Interior Porcelain Applications on Educational Facilities.
The Ceramic Tiles of Italy’s participation at AIA 2008 confirms the strategic importance of the United States market for Italian tiles industry reinforcing the strength of Italian tiles in the US market.
