Italy‚Äôs official participation will showcase books, catalogues and multimedia products by 16 Italian exhibitors.
May 2014 - The Italian Trade Agency announces Italy‚Äôs official participation at BookExpo America 2014 (May 29-31). Booths 1513 and 1613 will showcase books, catalogues and multimedia products by 16 Italian exhibitors.
Visitors will have the opportunity to meet with Italian representatives from 24 ORE Cultura, Atlantyca, ATS Italia Editrice, Bologna Children‚Äôs Book Fair, Carthusia Edizioni, Cartiere del Garda, Corraini Edizioni, Giunti Editore, Guerra Edizioni, Il Gatto e La Luna, La Coccinella ‚Äď Adriano SALANI Editore, OGM, and White Star Edizioni/De Agostini.
The latest offerings by Forma Edizioni, Gruppo Albatros Il Filo and SECOP Edizioni will also be on display.
On Friday, May 30 at Noon, Italian writer Marco Malvaldi will sign copies of his book Game for Five (Europa Editions). The book is the first in the Bar Lume series, featuring Massimo the Barman and the four elderly sleuths. Malvaldi is the winner of both the Isola d‚ÄôElba Award and the Castiglioncello Prize for his crime novels.
An additional Italian publisher participating at BookExpo America 2014 is Rizzoli International Publications (Art, Architecture, Photography) in Booths 2756-2757.
According to the U.S. Department of Commerce (Bureau of Census), in 2013 Italy ranked sixth among the major foreign suppliers of books, newspapers and other printed matter, exporting $91 million of products, in particular dictionaries, encyclopedias, bibles, newspapers and journals.
The Italian Trade Agency is the government agency entrusted with promoting trade, industrial and technological cooperation, and disseminating economic information regarding Italy abroad. The Chicago Office is responsible, among others, for the publishing sector, as well as maintaining and regularly updating its publishing website.
