THE ITALIANS ARE COMING TO BOOKEXPO AMERICA 2015!
May 2015 - The Italian Trade Agency is pleased to announce Italyâs official participation at BookExpo America 2015 (May 27-29) at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City. The Italian pavilion in Booths 1631 and 1731 will showcase the latest books, catalogues and multimedia products by 16 Italian exhibitors. See an exciting selection of art and photography books, literature and poetry, young adult and childrenâs books, cookbooks, health and medical books, foreign language books, and more from leading Italian publishers and printers.
Visitors will have the opportunity to meet with Italian representatives from 24 ORE Cultura, Atlantyca, Bologna Childrenâs Book Fair, Cartiere del Garda, Corraini Edizioni, De Agostini Libri, Edi.Ermes, Giunti Editore, Guerra Edizioni, Logos edizioni, OGM, Pigini Group Printing Division, and Sime Books. The latest offerings by 66thand2nd, Gruppo Albatros Il Filo and Sillabe will also be on display.
Once again, in collaboration with the Bologna Childrenâs Book Fair, ITA will present a selection of the fairâs prestigious Illustrators Exhibition featuring this year's Italian illustrators. Created by the Bologna Childrenâs Book Fair in 1967, the Illustrators Exhibition offers artists from all over the world a unique opportunity to display their talent to key players in the sector who come to Bologna every year for the most important trade show for the exchange of copyrights for childrenâs literature. Established artists and emerging talents are selected by an authoritative international jury consisting of publishers, artists and museum directors.

According to the U.S. Department of Commerce (Bureau of Census), in 2014 Italy ranked sixth among the major foreign suppliers of books, newspapers and other printed matter, exporting $80 million of products, in particular dictionaries, encyclopedias, bibles, newspapers and journals.
The Italian Trade Agency is the government organization that promotes the internationalization of the Italian companies, in line with the strategies of the Ministry of Economic Development, together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Italian Trade Agency provides information, support and advice to Italian and foreign companies.
