Meet the best of "Made in Italy" in New York
On April 15th the doors will open on the 30th edition of the International Vision Expo East at the Javits Convention Center in New York, the leading event for eyewear in the United States where the Italian Trade Commission in collaboration with the ANFAO- the National Association of Optical Goods Manufacturers, have organized the Italian pavilion.
This year the Italian Pavilion is located in the Galleria, where the most creative products and the most innovative international brands exhibit.
The 25 exhibitors in the pavilion are: 3Momi, Alero Design, Absolute-My Way, Atmosphera, Chick, // Delirious, Danor, David Marc, Elite Models 'Fashion, Frenk, Hapter, Ioves, Italian Instant Inspiration, Lara D', Lastes Group, Li√≤ Factory, Luxol, Martini Glasses, Miraflex, Nik 03, Opticaldesign, Slave to Ancestors, Snob Milan, Trevi-Coliseum, WoodOne Eyewear.
A wide range of products will be displayed on the tables and in the Italian area‚Äôs showcases: From children's eyeglasses to eyeglasses and sunglasses for adults, made in all colors and in different materials, from acetate, rubber, metal, wood and other natural elements such as rose petals and violets, grape leaves and even natural stone.
According to data from the US Department of Commerce, US imports of eyewear products from Italy increased by 2.7% over the same period last year, with a value of 977.3 million dollars. Italy is the second supplier of eyewear to the US and the first in sunglasses with a growth of 3.4% over 2014. Italy holds overall a 30.4% market share of the US eyewear imports.
