The Baglioni Group from San Pietro Mossezzo (Novara) has been producing air pressure vessels for more than 40 years. Today it is also the leading producer of air/oil separators, stainless steel vessels (also for food) and braking vessels for trucks, trailers, agricultural machines and buses. Thanks to the experience gained over almost half a century of activity, the company has also started producing and distributing air pressure vessels to the United States. This is quite a diversified production, as the Baglioni Group has vessels in its catalogues with capacities ranging from 10 to 3000 litres.

Founded in 1968 thanks to the desire and ingenuity of Alfredo Baglioni, who started the first company, C.M. Contenitori Metallici (Metal Containers) which specialised in the production of air pressure vessels, the Baglioni Group has grown over the years, adapting its structure and mentality to the latest market requirements. Today the company is comprised of a central company which oversees 8 independent production units. Thanks to this structure, the group is able to offer a fully personalised service in terms of accessories, protection and finishing of vessels (both inside and out). All checks are based on a common company philosophy and are strictly coordinated. Each unit is specialised and operates in a specific market segment, utilising its resources independently, while focusing on continuous improvement of customer service. In this context, product innovation, engineering and research and development are managed by the central office and are developed in cooperation with the individual units; thus the latest design and innovation becomes the common knowledge base of the whole group.

Thanks to important research and development, the pressure devices produced by the Baglioni Group can be certified according to European directives CE 87/404 (Simple Pressure Vessels) and CE 97/23 (Pressure Equipment Directive) and according to the principal international standards (ASME, AD 2000 Merkblatt, Australian Standard AS1210, MHLW Japan, Chinese License, Lloyd’s Singapore, CRN Canada). This opens up international markets to Baglioni production. It is no coincidence, that the board of directors of Simest, (an Italian development finance institution promoting the activities of Italian business abroad) approved the Baglioni Group project for the production of air pressure vessels in the USA, placing it in a group of 9 Italian business operations abroad attract a total investment of 196 million euros. According to Simest, “These are initiatives which will be implemented where Italian technological and managerial contributions are able to increase the value of traditional local skills.".
