Appreciating Italian Cuisine
The Italian Trade Commission (I.C.E.) in collaboration with the Hospitality Industry Training & Development Centre (HITDC) will organize an Italian Cuisine Promotional Campaign “Appreciating Italian Cuisine” from 23rd May to 03rd June 2011. The major theme is to provide fundamental information regarding to Italian Cuisine and offer an opportunity to acquire the skill of preparing Italian food to the trainees of HITDC, professional chefs, graduated chef of HITDC as well as the public, and provide them the opportunity to practice their skills and serve to the public. An official commencement of the entire programme will be held on the 24th May with a cooking demonstration of the Michelin Chef followed by an opening cocktail.
A series of 9 workshops on “Fundamental Knowledge of Italian Cuisine” will be held during the promotion. The workshop will include both theory session and demonstrations by a Michelin Chef Mr. Antonio Pisaniello from Italy. Seminar and wine tasting as well as appreciating sessions will also be included in the workshop. We are sure that more Hong Kong people would have a deeper understanding of authentic Italian cuisine after this promotional campaign.
