The Italian Trade Commission and the Italian Footwear Manufacturers’ Association (A.N.C.I.) jointly organize the 11th edition of the Shoes from Italy, an exclusive footwear exhibition for local buyers. From 7 - 8 July at the 8/F Kowloon Shangri-La Hotel, there are 42 premium Italian footwear suppliers presenting their latest Spring Summer shoes collection fresh from Italy.
The twice-a-year Shoes from Italy exhibition is generally recognized as the premiere footwear event in Asia. After exhibiting in Beijing, the group sets Hong Kong as the last stop in China and aiming to present a comprehensive collection of trendy, classic, elegant style footwear or distinctive handmade leather products from Italy. “After visiting this exclusive exhibition, I believe buyers can have a glimpse of the up-and-coming trends. In viewing the giant Chinese market, the Shoes from Italy serves not only the Hong Kong market, but also the nearby area e.g. Southern China.” said Mr. Paolo Lemma, the Acting Italian Trade Commissioner.
In 2011, Italy is the top European footwear supplier to Hong Kong. In the first 4 months of 2011, Italy has imported US$160 million worth of footwear to the local market, recorded a dramatic 76% surge and occupied 10.2% of the total market share. Italian footwear remained in high demand, especially for the high-end and luxury markets in Hong Kong.
Shoes “Made in Italy” have long been associated with genuine materials, delicate craftsmanship and exquisite design that are deeply rooted in the minds of global customers. In order to present the history and trend of the Italian footwear, the Italian Trade Commission and Italian Footwear Manufacturers’ Association are organizing Italian Footwear Fashion Trend Seminar on 7 July.

The seminar focuses on the most significant trends that will set the tone for next season’s footwear fashion examined by the Italian Footwear Manufacturers’ Association.
