The Italian Institute of Foreign Trade (ICE) and the Italian Union of Chambers of Commerce are offering 50 scholarships.
THE PROJECT
The "Invest your Talent in Italy" project, sponsored by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, offers you the opportunity to develop your skills and specialise though a range of Master's and postgraduate degree courses in ICT, Management and Industrial Design at prestigious Italian universities.
Entry qualification required: A three- or four-year Bachelor's degree from an Indian University.
Italy's leading universities offer a package of English language postgraduate programmes. They are highly specialised, and are tailored to meet the demands of industry and the professions. These courses have been designed in close cooperation between Italy's universities and the business and professional communities to meet the demands of modern, competitive corporations.
Ideally, each course will be divided into three phases: the first two will be lecture-based theoretical courses, while the third phase will comprise practical on-the-job training in an Italian company. All the lectures and teaching materials will be in English. There will also be courses in the Italian language and culture for the benefit of all the students, to give them an opportunity for closer social and intellectual integration during their stay in Italy.
In the on-the-job training phase, you will be placed under the supervision of an academic tutor appointed by the host company. A tailor-made training plan will be drafted specifically for you, and will also be the subject of the thesis you will prepare at the end of the course at the university concerned, forming part of your overall assessment and for the award of the degree. It will offer you a unique opportunity to acquire hands-on familiarity with the way products and services "Made in Italy" are created, and will challenge you, as part of your training, to put your skills into practice in a real-life working environment.
