ITALIAN MOTION, DRIVE AND AUTOMATION TO LAND IN INDIA IN DECEMBER
Motion, drive and automation are the three keywords of the MDA Fair, to be held from 15 to 18 December in Mumbai, India. The Italian Institute for Foreign Trade and a group of 18 Italian companies will participate in the event, now in its fourth edition and a candidate to become one of the most important successes in the field of hydraulic machinery, pneumatics and transmission bodies.
The event aims to increase knowledge of Italian technology among Indian operators who are always alert to innovation, and encourage the gradual development of industrial and commercial cooperation between our companies and local companies. The fair will take place at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, an exhibition area of over 37,000 square metres divided into three pavilions, where the 18 Italian companies selected from among sector leaders will be able to show the best of technology and innovation to visitors and industry professionals.
The Italian goods on show will cover several sub-sectors, offering a varied and complete range of products that will run from electric coils to seals and hydraulic pipes, and include pneumatic tubes, valves, speed reducers and electric motors and hydraulic systems. Over time, the MDA Fair has become increasingly important, also because in recent years India has progressively increased its exchanges with the rest of the world: in just five years, these have risen from 95,240 million to 312,110 million US dollars.
For this reason, the Indian market has become more attractive and Italian companies know that an event like the MDA Fair is essential for laying the foundations of new business opportunities: a demonstration of this is the success of the 2009 edition, which was attended by 13 foreign countries for a total of 176 exhibitors, spread over an exhibition area of 2,526 square metres. The number of visitors was 8,485, including sector operators and technicians interested in new products.
The hope is that this year it will be possible to do even better, also because of a very dynamic environment in which the event will take place: in fact, along with the MDA Fair, the same site will host CeMat India, Industrial Automation India, Energy India and Surface India. According to organisers, the same as those of the Hannover Messe, this concurrence will ensure a greater influx of visitors, professionals and technicians interested in the latest innovations and technologies developed in the various sectors.
