SIM2 TECHNOLOGY, BRINGING HIGH TECH TO VIP LOUNGES ALL OVER THE WORLD

Now Made in Italy products can be found even in the lounges of Sylvester Stallone or David Lynch, in the form of Sim2 Multimedia products. The firm based in Pordenone, where its offices and manufacturing plants are found, specialises in designer television projectors for VIP homes, and is well known in the US. Sim2 Multimedia is known for innovation, and has set new standards in terms of products, technology, quality and design.
Since its foundation in 1996 the firm has become a world leader in the market for the manufacturing and distribution of home cinema systems, as well as professional applications and digital cinema products. Today their products are a successful expression of top level technical and aesthetic innovation. The company is led by Maruizio Cini, current President of the Pordenone Unindustria industrial association.
The firm’s core business is divided into three branches: video-projectors and flat screen displays for home entertainment and cinema, video-projection systems for conference rooms and electronic cinema and management products for control rooms and professional video systems. An advanced inhouse R&D laboratory places Sim2 Multimedia among the top international companies for design, production and commercialisation of high definition projectors. This is thanks to the innovation-orientated management: despite the company's small size, Sim2 Multimedia invests 20% of its annual turnover (approximately 30 million Euros) in R&D. An additional advantage is the strength of the luxury home cinema market which has not been affected by the financial crisis, continuing to grow by between 18% and 20% each year.
In 2008, Sim2 Multimedia was chosen by a jury of businessmen, designers and operators in the American super luxury home cinema market as a symbol of Italian design and innovation, during the “Custom electronic design & installation association (CEDIA)” exhibition in Denver, the most important global exhibition for the luxury audio-video market (BTicino also received a prize at the same event). This recognition has had an important effect on the company's success - in fact, the American market is worth approximately 35% of Sim2 Multimedia's annual turnover.
The prize was awarded by the CEDIA for the exceptionally high video standards, with a level of image definition and quality that only Sim2 Multimedia projectors can guarantee. In fact, the product selected, the Grand Cinema C3x 1080 (see photo), uses the revolutionary 3-chip Dlp manufactured by Texas Instruments, chosen by Dolby Laboratories for a research based joint-venture which resulted in the first 46 inch LCD diode illuminated display, which made its debut at the Las Vegas Consumer Electronics Show in 2009. Sim2 Multimedia today boasts world leadership in projection systems using diode illumination; in fact, the company has patented innovation LED retro-illumination technology with extraordinarily high performance in comparison with traditional systems.
