A SHOP WINDOW IN BRAZIL FOR THE BEST ITALIAN-MADE AGRICULTURAL MACHINERY

Italian manufacturers of agricultural equipment will soon be travelling to Brazil to showcase their high quality machinery and components, long recognized as being amongst the best and most advanced of their kind on the international market.
This will certainly be an unmissable occasion: the eighteenth edition of the “Agrishow” fair, which runs from May 2nd to 6th at Riberao Preto, a little over 300 km from San Paolo. Over the course of these four days the Italian Trade Commission, supported by the trade association, Unacoma, will be coordinating the activities of the Italian delegation: a collective made up of 19 companies. Also present will be a Local Authority which includes in its area of control some of Italy’s foremost companies, as well as a trade fair organization.
A tour around the Italian display will prove both varied and interesting. Those who work in the sectors with which the fair is concerned will be able to linger and admire some of the very latest models of agricultural and gardening equipment. These range from machines for spraying and weeding to phytosanitary products, taking in tractors, mowers, and aerators for lawns. However, there will also be some sophisticated new products, such as monitors for seeding machines, axial piston pumps and hydraulic brakes, plus engines and cast iron gear dividers. Finally, there will be displays of such items as plastic filters for tractors, harrows and hoes. In short: there will be everything necessary to ensure a successful harvest (like that recently achieved in the San Paolo region) and to have a lawn which would be the envy of the best-tended home. It is all on show at just one fair, and more especially inside the Italian pavilion.
The Brazilian market has proved particularly active and rewarding for Italian manufacturers. Indeed, Brazil is one of the few countries capable of satisfying the world demand for food in the coming years, thanks to the huge portion of the country given over to agriculture (about 338 million hectares). Over recent years, the Brazilian agricultural sector has undergone a radical process of modernization, especially with regard to the machinery it uses. The availability of such equipment has greatly increased thanks to a growing trend towards the import of technology from overseas.
In view of this interest in agriculture, and the boost to Brazilian imports resulting from the process of agricultural renewal, the Italian companies will be offering their very best products at the Agrishow fair. Indeed, this is an event which over the years has become a point of reference for buyers and specialist operators from all parts of South America.
The watchword for those companies taking part in the Agrishow is simply this: agribusiness. Last year, about 155,000 professional operators visited the event, while a total of 700 exhibitors took part, representing 65 different countries. This year, the aim must be to consolidate existing commercial relationships and to create new ones by offering some highly innovative and very attractive products. There will certainly be an embarrassment of choice for those operators in the sector who want to invest in top quality, safe, reliable equipment.
