ITALIAN HYDRAULICS ARRIVES IN CHINA FOR PTC ASIA 2010
On the occasion the PTC Asia 2010 exhibition, to be held from October 25 to 28 in Shanghai, Italian companies will be present to try to arouse Chinese interest in Italy鈥檚 expertise in the hydraulics and pneumatic sector and in the field of transmission and gear mechanisms. They will also be encouraging the development and gradual consolidation of industrial and trade relations between Italian and local companies.
A group of nine of the top Italian companies, coordinated by the Italian Institute for Foreign Trade (ICE) in cooperation with Assofluid (the Italian Association of Manufacturing and Trading Companies in Fluid Power Equipment and Components), will be in Shanghai to offer a comprehensive overview of Italian production and to take advantage of a commercial showcase with the prestige of PTC Asia 2010. Despite the current global economic crisis, in fact, China can certainly not be considered to be suffering from the recession, with many local firms taking advantage of this situation to invest and improve their production processes. In addition, the mechanical engineering industry is the leading sector of the Chinese economy and its modernization is one of the country鈥檚 top priorities.
Last year鈥檚 edition of the exhibition took place over an area of 71,000 square metres, and recorded the presence of 1,307 exhibitors from 27 countries and 47,330 visitors; the aim of this year's exhibition is to do better by offering quality and expertise. Those going to the Italian pavilion will see high-precision mechanical components, electromagnets for control and restraint, manifolds and equipment for machine tools. There will also be a range of innovative products for turning, grinding and honing, in addition to pumps, variable capacity axial pistons for closed or open circuits, multiple disc negative hydraulic brakes, industrial adhesives and sealants, valves, cylinders, FRL units and compact turbo thermoplastics for hydraulic applications.
The challenge is certainly not easy, nor is the comparison with other countries which have always occupied leadership positions in the hydraulics and pneumatics sector, but the group of Italian companies will be there to provide their advanced skills and their best products: a stand will also be reserved for the Lombardy Chamber of Commerce which, above all, will help in the management of relations with potential partners in Asia.
PTC Asia will be the beginning of an important test for the Italian companies, but something that will help them grow and will be followed up at the MDA India exhibition in Mumbai. The group of companies participating in both events will be the same, representing a way to strengthen relationships, offer continuity and maintain the high quality standards for which Italian hydraulics and pneumatics are known.
