Molteni Therapeutics was constituted in 2006 as the result of the spinning-off of the anti-microbial research business of Molteni Farmaceutici, a privately owned pharmaceutical company based in Florence, who carried out these specific research programs since 1990.
Molteni Therapeutics has a set of new patented chemical entities in pre-clinical development, that show increased potency, broader spectrum of action and efficacy against bacterial, fungal and drug resistance infections.
Its innovative lead therapeutic, RLP068, developed for the treatment of the most common and deadliest resistant bacterial infections, will progress into Phase I in 1° quarter 2008.
