THE BEST TECHNOLOGY AND STRENGTH IN MOTOR SAFETY
A series of innovative patents, technological research and quality. These are key to Maggi Group's products – a company founded in 1925 in the Province of Lecco as a chain manufacturer that has since expanded into security, nautical, industrial and agricultural sectors, gaining solid experience in all these fields. Today, the Group has revenues of EUR €32 million.
Maggi has attained some of the best results in the security market, with highly innovative anti-theft devices. This experience in the two-wheeled vehicle security market gave birth to the "Active" locks: anti-theft systems that connect high-quality mechanisms to the latest in electronics.
The two systems offer double protection: mechanical and aural. Movement sensors detect the smallest movement or tampering attempts, activating an alarm that blasts out over 100 db. Furthermore, the steel alloy structure guarantees strength that is extremely difficult to beat. Of he two "Active" products in the range, one – Active Square – is a 'U' system ideal for anchoring to posts, while the other – Active Blade – can be used as a disk block, crown block, or as a chain lock.
Active Square is built from a steel alloy and includes an armoured combination lock with 4000 possible combinations and three numbered keys. The audio alarm can be disabled on both locks if preferred, leaving only the mechanical security features. The 'U' system is available in various sizes, according to the size of your motorcycle and other requirements.
But that's not all: Maggi also aims to improve features and has just launched "I-Close" – a lock fitted with sensors and integrated with an electronic alarm system with a cellular data connection.
Any attempt to tamper or move it will trigger the sending of an SMS directly to the owner's phone (and to three other numbers chosen by the owner). Furthermore, an optional GPS system allows owners to track the location of the lock and bike in real time.
The lock's processor can also be configured through software modify its sensitivity to tampering. The group has also announced that apps are being developed for Apple and Android devices to make managing the I-Close system even easier.
More innovations from a group that has always focused heavily on research. Maggi is also researching new nickel and titanium alloys to improve our snow chains.
Maggi Group's goal is to improve the elasticity of the chains even at low temperatures, in order their performance.
