JOS TECHNOLOGY: EASY MANAGEMENT OF ALL YOUR DEVICES
Imagine a panel that recharges electronic devices without the use of cables.
Its name is Jos, and it is the successful idea of a Tuscan start-up called Jos Technology: a company which has developed easy solutions both for recharging devices without using cables, and also for managing LED lighting systems.
Jos is a new way of powering and recharging: flexible, light, efficient, and with low energy impact. Thanks to a photovoltaic panel, the charger can be used in any situation, even in the absence of an electrical connection.
The product was designed to respond to the demand for greater simplicity and integration in the way we use and manage devices in the home and the workplace. Indeed, the integration aspect is one of the great advantages of this product, which has been designed like a hub, enabling you to manage all your devices on a single platform and with increased efficiency.
To be specific: this is a question of a low-voltage panel to which you can connect your electrical devices without the use of cables, and in whatever position and arrangement you prefer. Many different devices can be powered and recharged using Jos: from mobiles to the latest type of smartphone or tablet, to lighting or audio-video systems; or indeed to useful items such as cameras, sensors or even small electrical appliances. The panel can also be personalised: you can choose the colour and texture you prefer for the finish, and adapt the system to your particular needs, connecting it to a table or wall, or using the portable version with a battery or photovoltaic panel.
Jos Technology was established in 2009, with the development of the first practical prototype. The idea evolved from a Eureka moment experienced by Jos’s creative designer, Marco Ariani, in relation to an ordinary situation. He realised that every one of the light-sources on his desk was designed for use by a right-handed person, and, in the case of a left-handed user, produced only shadow!
It was difficult to rearrange the lights as you wanted them because they were either fixed, or had adjustable arms which were too short or inflexible, or had power cables which were not long enough. From that moment on, the technology has been increasingly improved and made ever more efficient.
At the same time, the company has greatly increased the range of types of device compatible with the system.
The aim has been to focus attention on the final consumer and his real needs, creating a product that can be adapted to suit individual requirements.
