Rome (Adnkronos Multimedia) - The latest developments in the field of sound and light systems, but also in the design sector: that's what you can find at the SIB, Europe's only entertainment and leisure technology trade fair. The event, scheduled from March 13 to 16 at the Rimini Trade Fair, gives those working in the field the chance to check out all the possibilities created by the equipment, and to realise how carefully studied sound and lighting effects can make the most of a work of art, a monument or a show room. At the SIB you can find all kinds of lighting systems for shows and monuments, sectors where Italy is at the forefront.

The Fair receives an average of about 1,000 visitors, including owners and managers of places of entertainment and others working in the sector. It covers 8,000 square metres. To meet recent market demands, the 2004 event will include more exhibits aimed at the new kinds of entertainment centres such as ethnic clubs, disco-restaurants and beach clubs.

The investments mainly concern decoration and lighting, for both outdoor and indoor use. Aesthetic considerations play a fundamental part, so that the most can be made of the place of entertainment as a setting, with the launching of a new exhibition as part of the SIB, called "SIB Atmosfair", specialising in the places of entertainment market, including its new trends, eg discobars, show food clubs, art cafés, cocktail bars and beach and lounge clubs. Forms of entertainment booming in popularity, where atmosphere is essential.

The SIB is also a chance to get in touch with 45,000 managers of places of entertainment , architects, decorators and fitters from Italy (82%) and abroad (18%). Not only clubs but also cinemas, theatres and show places generally. The SIB includes a theatre section to interest anyone working in show business. Italian and foreign participants bring products to show, exploiting all kinds of technology in this sector where our country is at the forefront, for lighting in cinemas and TV studios and for theatre stages.
