Managerial training for internationalisation is a strategic and unmistakable necessity for the development of every country: human resources are key elements to increase competitiveness in global and integrated markets.
New skills together with a better orientation towards international relations,acquired by each participant during the courses, are important tools, capable of further enhancing exchanges and co-operation among countries.
The Italian Institute for Foreign Trade (ICE) runs an annual project for training Italians and foreigners in international trade.
The training projects for foreigners are aimed at entrepreneurs or civil servants from developing countries and economies in transition.
The training activities are organised for specific regions, and are held in English or in the common language of the region: French, Spanish, Portuguese.
The beneficiary countries are selected according to the economic and commercial priorities established annually by the Ministry of Productive Activities.
Training is delivered through:
- Courses on Export Management, lasting from 2 to 4 weeks, often including a study tour or internship with Italian companies;
- Short seminars on specific subjects, requested by the host country
and run abroad;
- Scholarships, covering the costs of participation in specialised training
course or masters organised in Italy by major institutes.
