The ICE International Training Office organises a Seminar in Latvia for manager and public officers involved into the internationalisation process,. It will take place in Rezekne (9-10-11 May 2007) and in Liepaja (14-15-16 May 2007)

Objectives |
To develop commercial and economic co-operation among the two countries through the upgrading of the knowledge of International Management and Trade.

Programme |
The training initiative will be structured in three days seminar and will have the following programme:
- Enabling innovation to compete in dynamic markets
- The role of Venture Capital in early stage financing
- Business Plan: scope and structure
- Study of the market sector: entry barriers and competitors
- Influence in the market sector of substitutive products, suppliers and customers
- Analysis of the target market and of the factors that affect demand
- Research and estimate of the potential demand
- The marketing plan: product, price, distribution, communication
- Decisions on the company structure
- Evaluation of the economical feasibility
- Financial needs and provisional statement
- Interactive session: view of a movie with open discussion on "business attitude"
- Personality of the enterpreneur: characteristics and practical suggestions
- Accessing Public Sector Funds for Innovation in SMEs: some recent initiatives at European level
- Introduction to New Technology Based Firms: some new proposal for European joint actions
