The Italian Institute for Foreign Trade - International Training Division - organises a Training Course for SME's Development, addressed to public officers from Republic of South Africa involved in the internationalisation process.
The training initiative will take place in Pretoria from 14th of May to 12th of June 2009 and will have the following structure:
14-15 of May
The Italian model of economic development after WWII based on SMMes development and their forms of cooperation: Italian Industrial Districts and the Italian Cooperatives for production and distribution.
21-22 of May
Technological innovation, globalization , industrial cooperation and North-South knowledge sharing.
28-29 of May
International Marketing Tecniques and Marketing for foods products.
4-5 of June
Food products and problems of market access on European markets, quality for foods products.
11-12 of June
Machine tools and their importance for the development of raw material commodities' producing countries such as South Africa.
The aim of the Course is to awaken participants to the topics above, and create the opportunity to develop industrial and commercial relationship with Italy .
Study Tour to Italy
The SME Study Tour took place in Italy on the 28 September up until 3 October 2009. As a follow up to the training course, the Study Tour consisted of visits to Italian districts and Consortia, technology pole centres such as Tecnopolo Triburtino in Rome, research centres and visits to established family owned businesses.
