Italy - “Country of Honour” at Cosmoprof Asia ( 11 - 13 November 2015)
As part of the promotional activities in supporting the Italian cosmetic Industry, the Italian Government through ICE-Agency (known as Italian Trade Commission) will implement communication activities to support the presence of 107 Italian companies at “Cosmoprof Asia 2015” from the 11th to 13th November 2015, at the 'Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Center’.
The cosmetics products’ market in Hong Kong together with the Mainland China market and the whole area of South-East Asia, is still growing and it is expected to further strengthen the growing demand for cosmetic products also in the world of men. Thanks to massive advertising campaigns, an increase of consumption of the product once was used exclusively by women and now is also referred to men. This phenomenon leads to an increase in the number of businesses that use cosmetic products both for men and women (hairdressers, cosmetic centres, hair shops, SPA centres).
Italian cosmetics products’ export in 2014 constituted the highest value seen in the last decade. This was 3.4% of Italy’s export to Hong in 2014, which was a 1.9% gain from 2013 accordingly to Hong Kong Government’s Census and Statistics Department. There has been an evenly distributed expansion in export values of Italian cosmetics products across Asia.
Hong Kong is to be considered a fully, particularly platform with regard to consumer goods and for the personal healthcare, a sophisticated and mature place characterized by the presence of numerous operators of the cosmetics sector and countless promotional and advertising campaigns by companies from countries around the world. The initiatives that have more 'potential’ of success are those that arouse curiosity and contain elements of innovation.
Cosmoprof Asia is the most important exhibition dedicated to beauty in the Asian region; second event in the world after Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna, confirms its role as a privileged platform for business in Asia with over 81,500 square meters. of exhibition space and 2,362 companies in the 2014 edition. The event provides a comprehensive overview on the world of beauty, hosting all the sectors that include: packaging and OEM work, Perfumery and Cosmetics, Natural, Beauty & Spa, Hair and Nails. Cosmoprof Asia was visited by thousands of participants from around the world, recording more than 60,000 visitors and hosting 22 national pavilions presenting the best news from the world.
On the occasion of Cosmoprof Asia 2015, its 20th anniversary, Italy was awarded the status of "Country of Honour" in view of the considerable and continued Italian participation in recent years. To celebrate this recognition, Italian Trade Commission in collaboration with Cosmetica Italia (Italian Cosmetics Association) has planned a wide range program of communication activities with the aim to boost the promotion of numerous and qualified Italian companies.
In particular, Italian Trade Commission will implement a communication campaign, through various channels, and diversified activities, with the creation of advertisements and advertorials on major lifestyle magazines that have a local and regional circulations, preparation of dedicated posters, newsletters and networking events aimed at underline the strengths of the "Italian beauty" industry, in terms of innovation process / product, using new technologies and advancements of fashion trends and cutting-edge look.
During the exhibition, the companies will be included in various types of communication and advertising channels such as: media online / digital video (onsite & post-show). A complete brochure will be printed a in English and will be distributed during the period of the fair, which will contain the master data and company profile of Italian companies exhibiting in the fair; a Giant Light Box will be set up together with numerous Freestanding Light Boxes, placed in strategic locations in order to promote the participation of Italian companies in the thematic areas with details of their location and references in the halls.
By virtue of the status of “Country of Honour”, Italian Trade Commission, will participate at the Opening Ceremony and the Official Press Conference of the exhibition. For the celebration of the “Made in Italy”, Italian Trade Commission & Cosmetica Italia sponsors the exclusive event "Red Party” that will be attended by exhibitors, authorities, press and selected buyers.
